Feed a family for life

Help Us Feed a Family – FOR LIFE.

Our vision is to shift people from receiving monthly food parcels to becoming someone employed feeding their own families and even starting their own businesses employing other people to do the same.

In light of the Covid-19 pandemic and civil unrest in KwaZulu-Natal, which affected countless families financially and psychologically, equipping them with the skills to help themselves instils a strong sense of self-efficacy and hope for the future.

We have partnered with Farming God’s Way to implement their methodology with our partner church communities. The 3 main approaches to this are – no ploughing, 100% cover with mulch (God’s blanket) and crop rotation.

This starts with planting ‘Gardens of Faithfulness’ based on the scripture, He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much (Luke 16:10). They are unique in size and development as each garden is designed to start at 1m x 2m, making it more manageable for most families. Four different vegetables can be grown, namely: beans, spinach, beetroot and spring onion. If the family is able to faithfully manage this size vegetable garden, they can then extend it.

Every step of the process is guided by Biblical keys to unlock Godly solutions for effective management tools (doing things on time, to high standards and with minimal wastage) to address food insecurity.

You can support this project by donating R350 and make a lasting difference in someone’s life.
