Our Journey with Chibini Baptist Church continued this month focusing on food security as one of their primary needs. They spent time analysing their community through visually mapping public spaces in their area and analysing which locations represent hope, power, inclusion; and the opposite of these. From there, they were able to reflect on some of the contributing factors, like unemployment, hopelessness and apathy, corruption and lack of education that are made worse by cycles of dependency, unplanned [...]
Pastor Strydom Msomi, who ministers at our partner Kwandengezi Local Church, suffered terrible damage to his home from the flooding in April this year, almost losing his son. Thankfully, we have been able to assist him in rebuilding to keep his family safe and secure
Our community facilitator for our partners, Redeemed Baptist Family Church (Noodsberg) and Chibini Baptist Church in northern rural KZN, had the amazing opportunity to attend Farming God’s Way training in Port Elizabeth to learn more and upskill the farmers in his communities, and was specially chosen to provide narration in isiZulu for the Farming God's Way training videos.
