Detailed description of services

The CHURCH ALLIANCE FOR SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION (CAST) is a registered non-profit organisation that mobilises and equips local churches for compassionate action among the poor in their communities. We use our website as a tool to receive income from once off or monthly donations from customers, as well as sell items produced by our programme participants.

Refunds policy

Sponsorship payments are NON-REFUNDABLE for all online transactions once payment information is provided and the funds are remitted. If you choose to cancel future payments, please contact the CAST office on info@cast.org.za or +27 31 266 8830. Notice to cancel future sponsorship payments must be made seven days prior to the payment due date. If payments are processed beyond the agreed stop date, CAST agrees to make the refund by reversing the transaction through our bank or the payment service provider. The charges for the refund would be borne by CAST in case of wrong deductions or error transactions.

Customer privacy policy

CAST shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be denied as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). Payment options accepted

Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, by Direct Debit Cards held by South African Account holders only, or by bank transfer into the First National Bank account, the details of which are provided on the CAST website.

Credit card acquiring and security

Credit card transactions will be acquired for CAST via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for First National Bank of South Africa. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.

Customer details separate from card details

Customer details will be stored by CAST separately from card details, which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za

Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is South African Rand (ZAR).


CAST takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of services on this website, customer service and support, and dispute resolution.

Country of domicile

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and CAST chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.


CAST may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
