On 18th April, shortly after the devastating floods in KwaZulu-Natal, George Mwaura, CAST’s PR & Fundraising Manager, visited the township of KwaNdengezi, west of Durban in search of Mrs Princess Phumzile Mvuyana who works at Two Little Fishes Pre-School at Home Ground Church.
Her area had been badly affected by a mudslide, sadly causing some to lose their homes and others their lives.
Upon finding her, George immediately saw the need to help as many families as possible. Princess connected CAST to her church’s Senior Pastor, Pastor Msomi of KwaNdengezi Church of God. This was the beginning of a beautiful partnership as CAST began distributing food, bedding and clothing to the church for further distribution among the community.
A delegation of local Pastors and farmers from Newcastle made the journey to offer further prayer and support to the community.
We look forward to growing this partnership and supporting Pastor Msomi’s passion for practical care in his community.
